In Small Wonder, Ted Lawson worked for United Robotronics, where he created a robot in the shape of a 10-year-old girl. The robot was a Voice Input Child Indenticant (V.I.C.I.), but was nicknamed Vicki for short. Ted took Vicki home to his wife Joan and his son Jamie, and they decided to make Vicki a member of their family. The Lawsons tried to keep the fact that Vicki was a robot from the entire world, but found it difficult at times to keep their secret, especially from their neighbors, The Brindles. Small Wonder aired from 1985-1989, and made audience's hearts take flight with each hilarious episode.
