Throughout the 1983 Christmas classic movie A Christmas Story the narrator, who is voiced by an adult version of Ralphie Parker, refers to his dad only as "The Old Man". During the movie his dad fights a never ending battle with the furnace. Thus the shirt refers to him as a Furnace Fighter from Northern Indiana.
